Help out

hey folks,

So you've heard of Camp Betty and you're getting all excited, planning your outfits, polishing up your performance, your polemic and your pick up lines. But mostly you're thinking - what can I give to betty? what does betty need?

Well we're glad you asked. We want you, your friends and world peace but also we need:

* bikes! - We're hoping to have a bike library for out of town guests. You know how getting around melbourne can be a bit of drag - especially east/west - well we thought it might be nice to show out of towners some hospitality by lending them a bike. So if you have a few old bikes lying around that don't get ridden let us know. Even if they have flat tyres or need some mechanical love.

* beds! - Out of towners might also like somewhere to rest their pretty heads. Yup, we're talking billeting. If you can accommodate any guests on your couch or floor please let us know. They won't be home much anyway - they'll be at betty.

* equipment! - What ya got? We're after PAs, first aid gear, donations for the costume box and anything else you think might come in handy. A generator?

* help! - We're starting to plan all the fun stuff, like who will staff the infoshop, cook the food and mind the children. Also we're looking for first aiders, people with skills in facilitation and go-go dancers. Get in touch.

* bodies! Of course, most importantly, we want peeps to come. We have posters, stickers, and soon flyers - so please if you can help distribute some in your area let us know. But mostly, it'd be great if you can talk to people you know and woo them into coming.

Ok, i think that's all as far as the begging goes. Remember, the program is filling up fast with all sorts of exciting gigs, talkfests, fillums, a picnic, the amazing race and workshops galore. So if you've got an idea don't be bashful - get in touch so we can get things cranking.
